| We read a lot of Earthworm books for our Earthworm Lapbook. Our favorites were "Wonderful Worms" by Linda Glaser, "Bob & Otto" by Robert O. Bruel and "Diary of a Worm" Doreen Cronin. You do need to be careful at the end of "Diary of a Worm" as there is an instance of name calling, so I just ad-libed the book :) |

| Earthworm Craft For our Earthworm craft we used the idea here from Preschool Rock. It's such a cute little way to make worms, and if you have older children you can have them work on patterning, to represent the different segments of the worms body. We used sparkly beads because we had them on hand, but if you have to pick some up, try a peach or tan color to make them more like Earthworms. These special beads allow you to bend the worms into different shapes, or even wrap them around your fingers! The kids loved playing with these! |
